Lonely Realization [Kenanah Meadow Archive]

[Bugg]

Mika clumsily ran through the large meadow. She playfully chased the small bunnies that hopped around her. She wasn't trying to hurt the bunnies, she just felt oddly hyper today. She began to roll around in the grass that was mixed in with the many clovers in the meadow. She stopped, realizing something for the first time in a long while. She had realized that she was very lonely, but was trying to cover it up by acting happy. "I am so pathetically alone," Mika said to herself.

[Lordessakkah]

"Jose will keep you company."
The massive and scarred-up brute seemingly appeared out of nowhere, which must have been very confusing to the fae, since it's pretty hard for someone his size to hide in plain sight.
Jose's piercing blue eyes scanned the female as he began to creep closer, and has he did so, he flashed her a peek of what was inside his mouth; an array of large, pearly fangs.

He meant to scare the gal, for when others are scared, they are easier to manipulate, but once he got closer, he decided he wasn't up to fighting anyone, and toned the creepiness down a bit.
"Jose is the name, killing is the game, Senorita."
Plop! He sat down beside her with a heavy thud.
"And what might we call you, eh?

[Bugg]

Mika jumped slightly as another wolf appeared as if out of nowhere. She turned and watched as he moved closer to her and sat down. He was quite scary looking to Mika, but she tried not to seem phased by the brute. She listened to what he had to say, then replied with a flick of her tail and said,"My name is Mika, and I personally think killing, is pointless unless it is for a reason. But anyways, it is nice to, uh, meet you Jose." After answering, she scooted slightly away from him awkwardly, not trying to be rude.

The massive brute tilted his head back and let out a gruff but rather loud chuckle.
"Sweetie, when you live like Jose live, killing is definitely not pointless. Becomes necessary, it does."
He lifted his head up a bit more to reveal the terrifying scar that marked his entire neck.
"It is kill, or be killed."

He noticed that the fae had inched away from him, and a wolfish grin appeared across his face.
"You are afraid of Jose, eh?"
He inquired as he leveled his head and slapped his mangy-looking tail against the ground.

[Bugg]

Mika shook her head, "Well perhaps if you didn't get yourself into trouble, then you wouldn't have to worry about being killed." Mika knew she couldn't argue with the male. But she knew she could try. When she heard him ask if she was afraid she answered, "I'm not afraid, I'm just taken aback by you. You're awful bold to come and talk to a random wolf you don't know."

She wasn't implying that she was dangerous or anything, just the fact that he would do that was absurd to Mika.

[Lordessakkah]

"Heheh, actually, Jose did not start the fight that almost took this life."
He chuckled and gave her a menacing glare. He moved from his spot on the ground and began to circle the fae.
"He killed Jose's pup, he tore into Jose's throat, he killed Jose's Love, and then... Jose killed him."
He stopped his circling and ended up back in the spot where he began. He shot another less-evil glance at the female, and lowered himself to the ground to rest upon the cool clovers.
"If one is not bold, then one might never know what could've come from an encounter."

That was probably the most inspiring thing that had ever come from the brute's mouth.
"Jose likes you. Mika reminds Jose of sister."

[Bugg]

Mika sighed as Jose told his story. Mika was not really sure of what to say. What could she say? Mika squirmed awkwardly then answered, "I'm sorry. I jump to conclusions sometimes and don't realize what circumstances there could have been." Mika moved closer to the brute, being sure not to move too close. "You know," She said to him,"You're not as mean as you get people to think."

He laughed lightly and turned toward her.
"Shh, let us keep that one a secret."
He swished his tail around, and batted at the bugs that hovered over the greenery that covered the ground. He began to realize he had been rather nice to the fae, compared to all of his other encounters.
Maybe it was because he was getting old, or maybe it was because of her looks, or maybe not.
He for sure didn't know the answer, nor did he really care.
He had company, which was nice, and he didn't want to make his company disappear.

[Bugg]

Mika giggled lightly at his comment. She flicked her tail lightly, a habit of hers. She got off her haunches and laid down on the green clovers, with her head on her paws. She turned to stare at a butterfly that had landed on a flower near by.
"So now what?" Mika asked Jose, keeping her eyes on the butterfly.

"Now, young one, we chill."
He let out a small chuckle at his own words. Never did he think he'd live to call someone young. He was suprised that he had even made it past the age of three.
What shocked him even more, though, was the fact that his father was out there alive somewhere.

Lost in his own thoughts, he continued to paw at the bugs, almost in a puppy-like manner, until he snapped out of his mezmormation a few minutes later.
He rolled onto his stomach and peered at the fae, his crystal blue eyes looking slightly above hers.
Even though he had warmed up to Mika, he was still weary of her, and unsure of what she might do, though he didn't fear her actions, he feared his own.

[Bugg]

Mika laughed at what Jose said. "Young one?" Mika asked playfully,"I'm not that childish am I?" Mika pondered on the question she just asked. She sighed rolling over onto her back. She began to look up at the clear, blue sky.
She felt the coolness of the grass under her back, and she flicked her tail happily. She was satisfied with where she was at.

He looked at her with his piercing eyes, then closed them in a quick blink before joining her on the ground.
"Not too childish."
Again, Jose allowed his thoughts to drift, and he began to remember his sister, the one youngest in the family, the "odd ball", the one his father hated... the one he let live.
Thoughts of his young sister led to thoughts of his pups.
"Wow... they must be at least one by now..."
He mistakenly muttered out loud.
He got up once more and shook the grass from his coarse coat.
"You have family?"
He inquired.

[Bugg]

Mika shook her head at his question.
"Not that I can remember. I mean, they may be out there somewhere but I don't know." Mika said,"When I was about one or so, just after I could hunt on my own, the pack had to leave for some reason that I cannot remember. I was off in the woods alone, not knowing they were leaving. When I went back to our densite, everyone was gone."

Mika could see the image of the empty densite. She had searched everywhere she could think of, but there was nothing. She couldn't believe her mother had forgotten her as well.
"After searching for days, I had decided it was stupid of me to stay there alone, so I left the empty dens, and started living life on my own." She said to Jose, but she looked off in another direction as she said it.

For a second or two, Jose had let his guard down and let a little emotion show on his face; he was sad for Mika, but as soon as he realized what he was doing, he quickly looked away and changed his demeanor.
"Well, Jose was alone from the beginning; Father was a warrior, as well as the Alpha, never had time. Mother was always too worked up over father, but she cared a little."
Memories rushed through his mind, as he got a devilish look upon his face.
"Jose was banned from the pack for... getting on Father's bad side."

He disliked the gloomy aura in the air, although most of his confrontations with other creatures ended up a lot worse.
"Pups?"

Mika turned to look at Jose to answer his next question, "Uhm, no. I've never had a mate, and I've never been alone. I don't meet others that often."Mika said,"You already told me about your pup, so I'm guessing you have a mate?" Mika got up and walked around, feeling the coolness of the ground on her paws.
