"Jose had three pups. Two are still alive somewhere, but, as Mika knows, the other was killed." He spoke softly, but his voice never lost it's gruff pitch, due to his old injury. "Jose's love was killed along with the puppy."
He looked away from the fae for a short while and allowed memories of his deceased mate flow. He remembered her so well, but he often thought how she thought of him while she was alive. "Life was complicated; Citla was blind. Jose had to do everything for his love, but... it wasn't big bother."

Mika sighed quietly, feeling sorrow yet again for the brute."I'm so sorry. I can't imagine what it must have been like to know that your mate and your pup had..." Mika said, unable to finish her sentence. 'and I thought I had it bad.' Mika thought silently to herself. She probably would have killed herself if that had happened to her.

If only she knew... Jose thought to himself as he thought of what he did to 'get on his father's bad side.' To bring himself back to the conversation and to take his mind off of the terrible, horrible, messy, nasty things he'd done in the past, he put his attention toward his surroundings, including the female that was next to him. "Such a lovely place is this, eh? Heheh, actually, Jose remembers meeting Citla here"

"Really?" Mika said, happy for the change of mood."What was it like, meeting her?" Mika rolled over to look at Jose,"Were you in love right away, or did you have to get to know her first?"
Mika had always wondered what it was like to be in love with another person, and for them to love you back. She was incredibly interested in that kind of thing, and she always loved listening to other peoples' love stories.

The question came by as a suprise, and Jose struggled to find the right words. His and Citla's initial meeting wasn't what one would call a lovey-dovey, appropriate and passionate meeting, it was more along the lines of a brutal, unfair meeting, though he did fall for her as soon as she became round with puppies.
"Uh... Love was not right away, took it a while." He looked around as he tried desperately to think of something that would make it sound not so terrible. "... but the fact that love came to Jose and Citla was amazing, especially for the kind of wolf Jose was."

Mika smirked at him, unsure of what he was saying. "Uh huh," Mika said,"So what you are saying is..." Mika stopped, thinking she realized what he meant. She gasped and said,"Y-You force bred her?!"

Again, the massive brute struggled to find the right words, but it seemed like no matter what he said, there was really no way he was getting himself out of the hole he just dug himself. He dropped his head and looked toward the ground. His auds and tail dropped, as well. "...Si. But... Jose is not like that anymore...." His piercing eyes looked toward the fae, and instead of the usual anger and agression, there was pure sorrow for what he had done. After all, he did love Citla in the end, even though the beginning wasn't so great.

Mika sat there, dumbstruck. What was she supposed to say, when find out something like that? Mika sighed, "So. You had no reason to do it, you just felt like it? Or what?" Mika asked him. She was upset, that wasn't how love was supposed to go. She felt so stupid, sitting there like a little puppy. She didn't want to get him too upset though, she wasn't sure how he'd react.

He felt there was no reason to lie to her now, since he had already gone over the worst of the situation with her. "Eh... pretty much, si." His crystal clear eyes looked over the femmora, while his mind went over the incident that had happened just about a year ago. The large brute drew closer to Mika, though he didn't approach in a menacing or malice-filled way. "Not to worry, Sweet Mika. Jose is not the same... losing her and one of the pups to another's jaws hit hard... never again will it happen."

"Aw, come on, man!" Silouhette exclaimed, collapsing onto his haunches. "Can't we take it cool for a moment? It's not like our Windrunners won't chill for a sec!" Prowl held back a heavy sigh, but did allow himself to drop and shake his head. "Silhouette, if my calculations are correct, Hawk Flight and the others are nine months from here. If we would stop every moment your paws begin to hurt, we will not make it for the better of two years." Silhouette grinned, sharing a look with Riverwing, who did not share his expression in any way. The female sighed heavily, walking up to her love to share a quiet chat with him. The bond between the two was too obvious, though both agreed to keep it platonic. To mate within a pack, at least in the traditions of the Windrunners, was an act of dominance, therefore only permitted between Alphas. But now that they were seperated from pack, with the help from the humans, Prowl and Riverwing were now able to begin a new pack together. But Prowl, for some reason that not even his best friend could figure out, seemed to be indifferent. Granted, conversations between the trio never touched the subject.
Riverwing sighed deeply as she sat down beside Prowl, who still stood. "Prowl, why are you running from me?" Prowl exhaled, his demeanor deflating slightly. He could never keep any of his inner emotions from her, no matter how hard he tried. She could predict anyones actions with remarkable precision, yes, but... The long silence that followed her inquiry prompted her to ask another, even closer to home. "Why are you so afraid of the fact that we could become mates out here?" Prowl looked straight ahead still, suddenly unseeing. From the outside, he looked like he did not hear her, but Riverwing could tell he was musing with much intensity. She lay down, allowing him to complete his train of thought in silence. But when he raised his head suddenly, she could tell imediatly that it was not a completion of his musing. It was a distraction from it that evoked the reaction, perhaps a threat. "What is it?" She asked softly, slowly getting to her paws. Prowl cocked his head to the right, swiveling his ears accordingly. "We are not alone. Two more wolves are here. And we are upwind from them." "This is a 'No-Wolf' zone. They can't pose too much of a threat." "Their ability to pose as a threat is not what is concerning me.."

OOC: Just wondering, are you going to be RPing Riverwing, as well?
Feeling the jilt of rejection from the fae he had grown attached to in such a short amount of time, Jose picked himself up and began to exit the territory when out of the blue he caught wind of someone else... no, three others. His body grew stiff, his ears were upright and foward, and he narrowed his eyes; just like the old days, he was more accustomed to others being hostle. The massive brute slowly advanced in the direction the scent was coming from, and paused as soon as he was able to hear the voices rather clearly. He wasn't positive if he wanted to make his appearance known to them, or if he wanted to turn around and try to fix things with Mika. In the end, curiousity was much more important than females, and he showed himself.
"Who is you?" He spoke as loudly as he could, but his past injury prevented him from being as loud as he wanted to. He stook tall, and not so much in an aggressive, dominant way, but a 'standing-ground-cautious way'. He held his tail still, and awaited a reply.

OOC: Oh, yes. I didn't put up her profile before rping, sorry
Silouhette got to his feet, his ears pricked in interest of the wolf's accent as Prowl took a split second to analyze the situation. One wolf, with a deeper voice. He was an older wolf, with an old throat injury. Of course, Prowl wasn't exactly youthful, but the No-wolf zones were, if at all, dominated by young adults and adolescents ready for the search for a mate or a new pack. What was a brute such as he doing out here? His best course of action was to answer. Yes. His trio was a well seasoned bunch of warriors; even if this male was unfriendly as the other loners they had met recently, he would hardly inflict much damage on any of them. Though they were already starting a negative reputation in the corridors between pack lands, it would be worth it to see if this male had any information on the lands ahead. Prowl hated flying blind. "I am Prowl," he said, his tail lifted and completely level with his back. "My wolves here are just passing through." The brown female at his side watched silently as the silvery male watched behind them. "If you would be willing, it would be of great help if you could tell us what we might expect ahead," Prowl continued. Riverwing had to smirk a bit. Prowl was always so straight to the point and no nonsense it was sometimes slightly comical.

OOC: Ah, it's fine. You may post later, if you wish.
Jose didn't like the vibe he was getting from the one who called himself Prowl. Jose had always been the dominant type, since he was a pup. But, in his aging days, he decided he wasn't going to jump this wolf for appearing as he would have when he was younger, even if Prowl wasn't much younger than himself. A small, devious smirk appeared on the massive brute's face, and he dropped his aggressive stand and casually walked up to the small group.
"This here is Jose. Now, let us see. To the North, there is Jose's homeland, the Shadow Wolf Pack. The South was once dominated by a fair fae named Desdamona, but she has since vanished, and that place is now empty for any to claim..." He shot a quick glance at the female standing beside Prowl. "To the West, we have The Mountain View Packlands, once owned by Jose's own brother, but now, owned by none. And to the East..." The brute paused for a minute, thinking about what he was going to say. "The East... Dead are those lands." Another glance was shot toward the male behind the brown tinted female. The aging warrior gave a subtle glare at the male; there was a hint of dog within that one, and if there was any other creature Jose couldn't stand, it was dogs.
He encircled the group once, and then with a heavy plop, he sat upon his haunches in the same spot he had been originally. "Whom might Prowl's friends be, eh?"

Prowl processed the information as he kept a careful eye on the massive brute, as almost immediatily another plan began to formulate. Everything was abandoned up to apparently this Shadow Wolf Pack. That would take off weeks of their jorurney. He had made estimates on how large and far each Packlands stretched. But if the lands in the East were 'dead', as the Mexican wolf put it, it not be all of a Godsend.
His ear twitched back as an wolf equivilant of an eyebrow twitching at the hinting mention of the packlands ready to claim, but showed no other reaction. Though Riverwing's ears flicked backward momentarily. Silouhette, however, grinned furthrt, until the brute gave him a glare. He had this invisible attenae, as his man Blaster put it once, that was sensitive and could tell when people near him were thinking or talking about him. This male noticed he was part dog, and was already begining to judge him. Silouhette didn't much care, but his thoughts did go to the diamond stud that glittered in his left ear as it swiveled. Though he loved that thing, sometimes he wished his owner hadn't put it on.
"I'm Silouhette," he said in a friendly voice all the same. "That sweet baby next to Prowler is Riverwing."

The brute responded to Silouhette with a raspy chuckle. "Heheh, nice to know names, no?" His piercing blue eyes scanned the group once again, searching for hidden motives, but he found nothing. "Yee, well, all the packlands have yet to be claimed. Mardoc does still reside in the Shadow lands, but that big baby won't be claiming them anytime soon, Jose thinks."
He looked toward the East, thinking of the Dead lands. "Jose's baby sister onced resided there, but..." Eyes went to the ground for a few seconds, as his mind got lost in the travels of time. He soon snapped out of his thoughts, and looked around for Mika. She was no where, so he turned back to the three wolves before him. A wolfish smirk was given to them, along with a flick of his mangy tail.
